The feast of Relic of St Anthony was Celebrated on 15 February at Milagres Church grounds. Most Rev Dr Henry D’Souza, bishop of Bellary along with twenty two concelebrants offered the Eucharistic Celebration. For the first time the festive mass was held outside in the grounds. Around 2800 people participated in the Eucharistic Celebration. After the Holy Saint Anthony’s bread was distributed to all the people.
The Holy Triduum was held in preparation for the feast. Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, the bishop of Mangalore celebrated the Holy Mass on the third day of the Triduum and preached homily. The rest of the two days mass was celebrated by V. Rev. Victor Machado the director of Pastoral Institute.
A Holy Mass was celebrated in the morning at 11.30 for the inmates and for the special invitees. It was celebrated by Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu the Vicar General of the diocese.
In preparation for the feast a three days retreat was organized at the Institutes. It was well attended by residents and a large number of people from outside. The retreat was preached by Jeevan Jyothi team from Chikmangalore.
